Throwbots shoot discs to compete for ultimate control--Who will win? Throwbots are a discontinued line released by LEGO beginning in 1999 (released as "Slizers" in Europe) similar to their BIONICLE line. Story behind Turbo: Turbo resides in the Urban Sector. The small buildings are 2000 feet high, and the big ones are over a mile and a half tall. Some reaching to space. As big as it is there are lots of criminals. But this city is so huge, many of the giant buildings don't have any people in them. People make a lot of factories, which cause smoggy skies, polluted water and waste. Turbo is very fast but his arch enemy, the giant semi-trucks, are also fast. Turbo's design is unique among the Throwbots, as he was designed as a one-handed car with a throwing arm on the right side of the body. He quests for a special fuel that will allow him to achieve blinding speeds, in addition to slaying Mutant Vehicles. He survived the meteor strike. Turbo collects Power Fuel to increase his fantastic speed. Includes instructions for building a "Super Model" out of models #8502 (Turbo), 8500 (Torch), 8501 (Ski) and 8503 (Scuba). Additional models must be purchased separately.
